Good to see Algerian is making it into logos still. Even if it is for a karaoke competition. With the amount of gold being found at Irish pubs I 'm thinking this font deserves a rename.

It even looks like a professional designer has gone over the edges & cleaned it up a bit. Algerian Bold anyone?

I found this little nugget while reading one of Joel Spolsky's articles on why you should never re-write a system from scratch. In the article, he's chucked in a stock photo of a barber shop (in Algerian, of course) to link to the comment "big hairy mess". This guy is a fucking genius and I'll bet 2 minutes wages that he's a father.
